Garlic Honey Pan-Fried Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, cut individually as drums and flats
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. in a large mixing bowl, combine wings, garlic, honey, soy sauce, cooking wine, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well snd set aside to marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. In a large frying pan, heat oil.
  3. Add scallions and ginger and lightly fry until golden brown.
  4. Place wings into pan and leave to fry on high heat for 3 minutes.
  5. Flip wings to pan-fry other sides. Add water and cover pan on high heat for 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover. The water should have evaporate and your wings will start to char and stick to the pan. Flip and continue to fry for about 2 more minutes
  7. Remove from pan and drizzle with honey. Enjoy!
